Double Glazing

New Windows Help Reduce Heating Bills In Wigan

Leaving the window open for ventilation provides the home with fresh air and reduces moisture accumulation. While a breeze through the house is refreshing or poorly maintained frames left to create a draft, it can increase utility expenses as energy is lost. Learn how new windows help reduce heating bills in Wigan.

To maintain an electricity bill, it is important to consider energy efficient window designs to keep air and warmth in during the cooler winter months. Deteriorated frames and outdated styles are largely responsible for the escape of heat while leaving windows open through summer can place a strain on air conditioners. To lower your utilities, incorporating a new window design can provide ongoing efficiency.

During the cold of winter, a draft through the window will allow the cooler air from the outside to move into the house. To keep the interior temperature warm, residents will continue to increase heater usage that can lead to hefty electrical accounts at the end of the month. The once off expense of having a new frame and glass installed can cut bills up to half making for greater savings and contributes to a reduction in your carbon footprint.

The inclusion of new windows has been recognized as one of the most suitable and modern ways to insulate a building. One of the most common options is to incorporate double glazing that may prove costly, but offers the greatest efficiency. This includes a double pane that traps the heat inside and provides the added benefit of canceling external noise pollution for a quiet and warm space.

Major gaps and holes within the framework will cause continuous drafts and has been recognized as a major source of energy loss. The correct window installation can trap natural sunlight and assists in reducing the bills that are associated with constant reliance on electricity for warmth. Once can decrease the use of an air conditioner by investing in new frames and panes.

Incorporating a heavy curtain to block out sun during the intense heat of summer will provide cooler interiors and homeowners will not have to use fans and conditioners to constantly provide cooler air. There are many window designs offering a UV block out tint that keeps the extreme heat out without compromising views. Maintaining adequate levels of shade in the warmer months will automatically cool the room.

For a home with a single pane, it is best to install a double pane with specialized coatings. There is the option to have a gas filled window included as this will provide maximum levels of insulation and protect against the loss of heat. It is important to assess the costs involved and the benefits each install can offer.

To maintain energy savings, it is best to check the window frames for any damages including gaps that could cause drafts. Weather proofing is required that will protect against severe cold entering the property that will aid in keeping heat inside the home. A professional inspection will assist in determining the most energy efficient strategies.

A wish come true, Elite Windows and Conservatories have done a superb job building our conservatory from start to finish. Very professional and very friendly service from all involved. In particular the area sales manager Jack Harris who was there giving us advice and following up at every stage of the installation. Very happy with the cost as well. So glad we chose them to fulfil our dream.

Elite Windows did my Conservatory 13 years ago, which is my favourite room in the house. So when my back door broke, there was no hesitation where to go, and I wasn't wrong. Absolutely amazing job from start to finish, even going the extra mile and fixing my Conservatory guttering without even mentioning. Next stop a porch .... Thank you so much, look forward to seeing you soon 😊

I had enquired with a number of window replacement companies and asked neighbours for recommendations , right from the get go Elite Windows kept becoming the front runner. I sent an enquiry into them online and the very next day I received a phone call from one of the office women who arranged for Jack to review my request. Jack promptly called and arranged a visit that same day and gave us a quote. I was impressed with the service so far and the quote as we had 3 x 12ft bay window and 2 x smaller windows to fit was very reasonable and competitive. we signed up and waited 5 weeks to work commenced. The guys who came to fit all the windows were fabulous. they came early , cracked on with the job , tided up as they went along, kept us informed of progress and next steps. on the final day we had to leave them to it and they locked up after themselves and we came home to a completed job , all clean and organised.. Brilliant. A final phone call from the office later that day to see that we were happy with everything and then payment.could not be more pleased.
